Corporate Information

Town Health was founded by Dr. Cho Kwai Chee Roy in December 1989 when he established the first Town Health medical practice in Shatin offering general medical services.

In September 1991, Dr. Cho began to expand Town Health through the formation of alliances of a number doctors and dentists, establishing a network of healthcare practices. This is to be the start of the Town Health Healthcare Network era with the alliances and Dr. Cho being considered as the Founders of the Town Health Healthcare Network ('the Group').

During the period from September 1991 to December 1996, the Founders added a total of seven healthcare practices to the network, six of which were located in the New Territory and one on the Hong Kong Island. These clinics provided general medical and dental services catering for residents in nearby areas.

During May 1997, the Group's first medical practice was converted into the Group's first Integrated Medical Centre offering a wide range of specialty services in addition to general medical and dental services. The network continued to strategically expand into densely populated areas during its decade of operation, building and consolidating various competitive strengths along the way.

During the year 2000, to further improve service quality provided to the community, the Group decided to reorganize by adopting an enterprise model and successfully recruiting valued added back end human resources. This provided the Group with management and administrative expertise that work cohesively with those competent front end healthcare professionals of the Group.

During the Millennium, the Group entered into the preventive healthcare arena. The Group successfully listed on the Growth Enterprise Market in Hong Kong to further raise capitals to fund its expansion strategies and to intrigue value-added synergistic partners into the Group.

Town Health has been listed on main board of HK Stock Exchange since Aug 2008. (Stock Code: 3886)
